All homes can be made more wonderful. Some homes need a seamless alteration that solves the need for more space and better circulation.

Some homes need to be entirely remade, inside and out. Historic homes sometimes need to be brought into the twenty-first century, usually in regard to issues like an upgraded kitchen, an informal family space, a nice master suite, and orientation to private yard.

Generally, alterations are a cost efficient way to maximize the construction dollar when the neighborhood is good and the structure has good "bones". When the alteration is complete, the home should seem as if that is how it always was.
