Marrs Cottage - 1995
This home plan is very efficient. It was a
"not-so-big" house before the term
became popular. At 2,200 square feet
plus garage bonus room, the main idea is
the wide lake porch, which extends the
living room outside. The floor area is
upside-down, with more square footage
upstairs than down. The building style
can best be described as a blend of east
coast cape and shingle styles. Published
many times in BH&G magazines since
1999, the plan has resonated with many
people around USA and Canada in the
past decade. This cottage was built by
Todd & Floyd Wright Builders of Boyne
City MI.
