Peterson Cottage - 1996

Among the challenges of this lakefront site were the restrictive side setbacks that directed a design solution with home entrance near not just the center but the centroid of the home. With many siblings in the area the Petersons needed a big dining room. We made it the central hall that one walks through to get to all of the other public spaces and that which ones encounters first via the half-circle entry. Radiuses became a design theme in all 3 dimensions. A later detached garage (2002) with guest quarters completed the family compound.
